Once set up, the on/off operates both the TV and STB, the Channel buttons operate the STB, and the Volume buttons operate the TV.  This eliminates the need to first press the TV or STB device button on most remotes. 

There are other options as well - it allows you to program up to 30 of your favorite channels ~ when activated, the Channel buttons only scroll through the favorites, while the 0-9 buttons operate as normal.  In normal mode, the Channel buttons work all channels.

Flipper can also Lock to prevent reprogramming of the TV.

Flipper has other set up options allowing you to change the on/off settings to turn on and off only the TV.  And because of its Learning set up capability, it can be used with almost any IR device, even if a code is not available for your TV or ST^B.
